The Photographer:
Hi, my name is Cassandra Fontaine. It is such a great priviledge to do what I love! Photography is not just my job, it's my passion! I know many people that would love to do that very thing, however something keeps them from it. Whether it's fear, doubt, lack of money or motivation; I have a testimony for you!!
I am a single Mother of 3 beautiful children. My photography began with my firstborn, 15 years ago. If having children doesn't motivate you, I don't know what will. I really loved taking pictures of him every opportunity I got. From there, I had two more children and they were both little girls!! Oh how fun!! Things really began to get interesting over the years with the girls. My creativity took leaps and bounds!
When people began telling me that I should really consider becoming a "professional" I thought, "a pro?" To this day I call myself an aspiring "pro." In life do we ever perfect anything? I think we try our hardest to do so, but perfection doesn't come until we get to heaven to be with the Father.
I am a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. None of it would be possible if it weren't for God. I give Him all the glory and all the honor. Over the past two years, it's been a continual climb. I've been in the face of every adversity you could think of, yet with Gods strength, I keep running this race! Those giants can't stop me now!!
With barely enough money to pay my bills (and honestly, sometimes couldn't), I have been so richly blessed with the necessary equipment to take wonderful pictures. When scraping to get by and barely hanging on a limb, and the nice technical things start assisting in the journey to the top, a spirit of appreciation naturally manifests. The technical equipment and studio lights really felt like an extended arm reaching down a dark tunnel to help pull me up. Alas', I see the light!! It began with my Mother and I thank her so much for investing in my first digital SLR camera even when she had her doubts. I love you Mom!!
Still picking dirt from my fingernails, I'm continually growing and here to give you encouragement with whatever it is your heart desires. Allow the Lord to be your strength and shield and you can do that thing that's always pulled at your heart! After all, it's the Almighty that's placed those desires in your heart! Why wouldn't he clear pathways for His beloved child?
Photographically Yours,
Cassandra Fontaine
